Can I pay my rent electronically?
Cornerstone offers online rent payments through the Tenant Portal.  There is a convenience fee.  The convenience fee will show after you enter your payment amount.
How do I notify you of emergency repairs during the workday, on weekends, and after office hours?
All requests for repairs must be in writing and submitted via the tenant portal or email.  Cornerstone has a 24-hour emergency number for after hours, weekend, and holiday emergencies.  This number will be provided in your move in packet.
May I sublet/or assign my lease? (That is, may I allow someone else to rent the apartment if I move out before my lease is over?)
You may sublet/assign your lease only at the discretion of your landlord and Cornerstone.  The sublet/assign tenant must submit an application along with fees and be approved as any other tenant would be.  You will be charged a fee equal to 50% of one month’s rent if you bring an approved replacement tenant.  If Cornerstone or your landlord finds a replacement tenant for you, you will be charged a fee equal to 100% of month’s rent.
Must prospective tenants submit an application for a lease? Is a fee required with my application?

Anyone over the age of 18 who will be living in the home must submit an application.  A non-refundable application fee of $40 must be paid for all applicants.

Where and when must rent be paid? If rent is paid after that date, do you charge a late fee? If so, how much is it?
Rent can be paid by cash, cashiers check, money order, credit card or electronic check.  You can mail or drop off your rent at Cornerstone's office (12048 James St., Holland, MI 49424, near the corner of James and 120th Ave).  You can pay through your tenant portal with credit card or eCheck.  Rent is due by the 1st of every month.  There is a 3 day grace period, if not received by then you will be accessed a $25 late fee.
